The Full Day Tour of Egyptian Museum, Citadel, and Coptic Area is an excellent way to explore the rich history and culture of Cairo, from the ancient pharaonic period to the medieval Islamic era and the Christian Area.
Itinerary
Our driver will pick you up from yur hotel to start your tour with visiting Egyptian museum which contain the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts in the world. You'll have a chance to see treasures from the pharaonic period, including the golden mask of King Tutankhamun, ancient sarcophagi, and mummies.
Then move to Citadel of Salah El-Din built in the 12th century that served as the seat of power for many Egyptian rulers. You'll have a chance to explore the fortress and visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, one of the most beautiful mosques in Egypt.
After that you will be able to visit Egypt's Christian community by seeing the Hanging Church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt, and the Church of St. George, which is built on the site where St. George is believed to have killed the dragon.
